I always like to sew something into other thing like this project, I use an old cloths to transform it into my boy's short pants. I like the grid fabric on this old cloths and also it was just nice to make a short pants for my son.
Here was the old cloths looks like, I use the bottom fabric to sew this pants and also cut out some black elastic fabric as waist fabric as I really run out of the grid fabric. Luckily, it was a perfect match to have this elastic waist, another reason was I was lazy to sew a zip on it.
